The “Talent Identification Program” (residential) was created in 1997 through a collaboration between A.C. Perugia Calcio (a club that was playing in Serie A at that time) and ISM, with the goal of identifying young talents worldwide.
Starting in 2025, ISM Academy established an official partnership with Empoli F.C., becoming the official representative for International Scouting (under 15–19), offering players a residential-university program and the opportunity to play with Empoli FC.

ISM has extended its technical collaboration to other professional football clubs, becoming their scouting center and the organization responsible for developing promising players.

Empoli F.C invests significant resources each year in its youth teams, which is why the “Talent Identification Program” plays a key role for the club. The goal of this program is to identify young athletes with outstanding technical and tactical abilities and guide them toward a potential contract with a professional team

The program takes place at the Monteboro facilities (official headquarters of Empoli FC) or at the location in Assisi.

DURATION
There are two types of “Talent Identification Program,” which differ in terms of commitment and duration:
The Annual Program
With a duration of 9 months (from September to June),coinciding with the start and end dates of the school or academic year.

Athletes have the option to enroll in the Empoli F.C. TIP program at one of the two available locations:

  • Monteboro: official headquarters of Empoli F.C. (the athlete resides here for the full 9 months)
  • Assisi: the athlete resides in Assisi for 7 months and spends 2 months at the Monteboro facility
The Monthly Program
which lasts 1, 2, 3, or 6 months and can be attended at any time during the football season at either the Assisi or Monteboro location.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

1st phase

The player who enrolls in the “Talent Identification Program” (TIP) through ISM Academy, at the beginning of the program, will undergo a technical and tactical evaluation by professional coaches and will follow a specific technical program.

2nd phase

Players participating in the first year will have the opportunity to be registered with a professional club based on their age and the performance demonstrated during the first year. The partner club may officially register the player or potentially offer a professional contract.

GOALS

Contents:

The Talent Identification Program is identical, in intensity and contents, to the one used by a Professional Football Club. Players participating in the TIP develop their technical and tactical skills through a daily work program identical to that set for professional players.

Performance Monitoring:

ISM Academy will provide athletes with personalized reports twice per season, evaluating technical and tactical parameters to measure actual improvements. From the very beginning, technical and tactical weaknesses will be identified to offer athletes targeted training.

Competing with the Professionals:

Throughout the football season, all athletes participating in the TIP will train directly with the coaches and at the sports facilities of Empoli F.C., with the goal of showcasing their technical abilities.
